⚠️ “We beat teams with our minds.” ⚠️

– Aaron Rodgers on The Mental Side of the game

Question: How were you able to surpass so many of your peers drafted ahead of you, if you didn’t have the prototypical physical gifts or vitals as you call them?

How were you able to become arguably one of the best quarterbacks not having that stuff?

Aaron Rodgers: I think confidence is a huge thing for that; you have to have that self-confidence that you’re going to perform every time you’re in a situation where your best is needed.

My confidence never wavered; when I was overlooked it didn’t make me feel worse about myself.

I’ve always just kept telling myself, “I just need an opportunity and when I get that opportunity I’m going to be at my best.

My key was always to keep confidence in myself and to stay really mentally sharp.

For me the mental game is how you win every single week.

In the NFL, everyone is physically gifted, but we beat teams intelligently … we beat teams with our minds.

We out react or scheme them and then are able to make those plays at certain times in the games when you have to have a play.
