Gary Player is one of the most successful golfers in sport’s history: Winning 163 Tournaments over 7 Decades:

“Every Day, I’d prayed for patience and courage. And then I’d go down to the U.S. Open Score Board that listed the names of the Past Champions — where I’d see this year’s 1965 was waiting to be filled. I’d stand there Every Day and I Meditated. I would see my name up there In My Mind: ‘Gary Player, 1965, Open Champion.’ It was like Hypnosis.

“I continuously work on My Mind.

“We all have different swings. So what makes a Champion is Not the swing. The swing, is Not The Thing. It’s what’s Upstairs.

Gary is adamant about the importance of Mental Conditioning.

He believes a Positive Mental Attitude is Essential — on and off the course.

He believes so strongly the Power of Positive Thinking that he goes out of his way to Protect Himself and His Environment from Negativity …

“Any old idiot can see what’s wrong with the world. Every single one of us could wake up with a list of valid complaints. But where does that get us?

“Optimism and a positive attitude will enable you to see the obstacles and challenges, to Accept the Suffering, and be Open to Finding a way through it.

“I would say to myself: “When I win — see I never said ‘If’, I always said ‘When.’

“Tne thing I will Never be is Scared to Win.

“When playing in big championships, when I had a Chance to win, I Won.

It’s been said that Golf is more of a Mental Game than a physical one, and no one proves it better than Gary Player.

He is small for a Pro Golfer, but he’s Thought Big from an early age.

As a teenager, The Power of Positive Thinking, transformed his approach to Sports.

Player was among the first to grasp and Apply Psychological Principles to golf.

“The answer is not in the swing; The Mind’s The Thing.

“I love Golf so much because it’s always Challenging my Mind.

“The only way I’m going to achieve it is by Working on My Mind.

“We all know that patience is a virtue, but it’s a thing that I’ve found lacking in so many human beings.

“I’m a great Believer that we all need some kind of Punishment to keep us Level-Headed and Humble.

“Meek, Humble, Wisdom. All words from the Bible.

“Golf is such a humbling game.

“I do quite a lot of Meditating. I associate the Meditating with Visualization to a great degree.

“We are in an Impatient World.

“I prayed for great Patience and Courage.

“You can lose focus or be Lethargic, or you can be Over-Energetic. You’ve got to keep a Good Balance.

“I say to myself, `Don’t get Too Excited, because you Never Know what’s around the corner.’

“So many Great Shots end up in Disaster.

“You can be the best player in the world, and tomorrow you can be a Chump.

“Love is still The Secret. The most Important word in Your Life is “Love.”

“I study the World’s Top Achievers — sports, business, and life — successful people take Mental Attitude Very Seriously.

“They find ways to continuously feed themselves Positivity and Motivation.

“They also go out of their way to Protect Themselves from negativity.

“Shouldn’t we all be making Mental Conditioning a regular part of our Daily Lives?

“To be a Champion, you have to Think like a Champion. Not every once in a while, not only when you start feeling blue, but Every Single Day.
