⚠️ Kobe Bryant’s Mamba Mentality Uncovered ⚠️

“The game is 90 percent mental, what you do out there and how you do it,” Kobe’s 2-time World Championship teammate Odom explained.

“On a good night, it seems like you do Not Think. On an off night, you may be Thinking Too Much.”

“On some nights, you have a good night and you think you just Out-Thought somebody, that you were One Step Ahead Mentally.”

One of the greatest shooters ever to play the game – Kobe Bryant – was also one of the most Confident players. But confidence doesn’t mean that you have to be arrogant. It simply means that you have a Confidence in your Ability that can’t be shaken by External Circumstances.

Kobe in particular, combines that kind of Confidence that you need when you want to become a Great Shooter. He has a special Mindset when it comes to shooting the basketball.

Kobe’s ability to Block Out the negative and Focus on The Next Shot is special. This can be difficult because many of us are Hardwired to Think More about our Mistakes than our successes.

Kobe’s quote explains his Mamba Mentality: “I’d rather go 0-30, before I would go 0-9. 0-9 means you beat yourself, you psyched yourself out of the game … and the only reason is because you’ve just now Lost Confidence in Yourself.”

It’s your Developed Ability to take The Next Shot at life with Confidence.

Kobe Bryant worked with renowned “Mindfulness Meditation Coach,” George T. Mumford throughout his career. Author of “The Mindful Athlete,” Mumford also worked with Michael Jordan, Shaquille O’Neal, and with both the Bulls and Lakers Championship Coach Phil Jackson.

A cool aside: it was actually Phil Jackson’s wife “June” while attending a holistic learning center, she “… took one look at George T. Mumford and said, ‘He could totally connect with Phil’s players.'” And the rest was history.

“George helped me understand the art of mindfulness. To be neither distracted or focused, rigid or flexible, passive or aggressive. I learned just to Be.” – Kobe Bryant, 5-time NBA Champion

“The one thing that Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant could agree upon was that George Mumford was their Secret Weapon, the trusted advisor who brought Clarity to their competitive Minds. I know this because they told me personally.” – Roland Lazenby, “Michael Jordan, The Life”

Mumford himself has an amazing recovery story as he suffered from severe addiction and negative self-talk issues early in life which he now affectionately calls “Stinkin’ Thinkin’.”

It’s pretty hard to argue with his results as the Mental Coach of 3 of the Greatest Players in NBA History … helping Jordan lead the team to 6 NBA championships.
